SlapShot Comedy
Just when you thought you saw it all, more comes along to make you slap yourself in the head and shout, “D’oh!” Yeah? Well, in my world… when I get that caught on film, it’s known as, “slapshot comedy”.
Below is an actual street sign painted on the pedestrian road crossings in a small Maine town.
I’m not sure who decided this was necessary or useful, but I decided to share with you my impression of the street sign. How would the conversation evolve should this sign fail to operate as intended?
Victim talking to the EMT:
” I waved! I know I did ’cause my hand did this. Awe crap! Where’s my arms? My freakin’ arms are broke! The SOB broke my arms! I was waving like crazy! The driver waved back! I saw his arms waving back and forth, so I stepped out to cross the street!”
Driver speaking to the cops:
“I was waving for the dumb ass to get out of the road, because my car lost it’s breaks!”
